The oldest town: Lügde

Oma Elke takes Niklas and me to a playground on the banks of a little stream, the Emmer. For this we drive to the next town, Lügde, where Opa Siegfried used to be a primary school teacher when he was younger.

Lüdge is dating back to anno 784, that is 1232 years ago! What do the Aussies talk about historic buildings in the Blue Mountains?

One very old tower.

Me at the other end.
The stream bank of the Emmer has a little "beach". Old farm house in the background.
